I specialize in utilizing salvaged, repurposed, or discarded substrates for my art. Examples include, pallets, cabinets, plywood, fence boards etc. The main media I use are oil painting, encaustic painting, lichtenburg burning, and epoxy resin. I often use different photo transfer techniques.
Nature is my #1 inspiration. PATTERNS in Nature, flora and fauna, but especially CROWS. All images used are my own, usually taken with my cell phone camera.
The way that Nature reclaims both what it has created, as well as what we humans make, is inspiring.
Prices vary from 20 to 250 USD.
Be gentle with your art. It should be kept out of direct sunlight and stored so that the face of the art isn't scratched. Art made with Encaustic wax will need to be gently polished occasionally with a soft, lint free cloth to regain its luster [I use an old worn out flannel sheet for this purpose].
